A Different Approach to Therapy
Psychotherapy. Coaching. CBT. Somatic Healing.
About Me
What led me to becoming a therapist?
My own experiences of loss, trauma, addiction and heartache led me down the road to becoming a therapist. Too many times I'd been to those dark and murky places, where I was left frustrated and stuck repeating the same old patterns. But when I eventually hit the mother of all rock bottoms, I was faced with a decision: resign myself to the fact that it was somehow my destiny to be plagued by depression and calamity, or maybe believe I had an actual choice in the matter, and that I had the power and resilience to rebuild my life from the ground up. I chose the latter.
From that point onwards, I began a profoundly transformative journey which has literally changed and improved my life in ways I could never have imagined or thought possible. I enrolled in weird and wonderful workshops on shamanic healing, attended breath-work events, fellowship meetings, drank cacao at women's circles, and found a shit hot therapist who guided me along the way. I devoured every self-help book I could get my hands on, journaled, meditated, and enrolled on self-development retreats where I met many other wonderful people on a similar journey of self-discovery and knowledge. And what an absolute privilege it's been!
Of course, at times it hasn't been easy; healing isn't linear. But it's been worth every single step. I now want to share the wisdom I've learned along the way to empower those also looking to become the best version of themselves, and move from surviving, to thriving.

When I'm not being a Therapist ...
When I'm not coaching or being a therapist, you can find me sipping coffee and walking my slinky whippet, Henri, around various woodland parks. Regularly being in the great outdoors helps me stay grounded and inspired. I'm also a massive music lover and am very much partial to a good bop around next to a loud speaker at a festival or gig; it keeps me energised and takes me to my happy place. My other huge passion is travel with my son. He loves people as much as I do and it's amazing to watch him experience new cultures, tastes and sights. It's super important to me that he is open-minded, curious and connected to the world and all the amazing things it has to offer!

''I feel really heard, seen, and safe to bring anything to counselling sessions with Sara. She has a really warm loving presence, as well as many skills as a psychotherapist in terms of using different modalities to fit with what I need in the moment. I feel like I can bring anything to the session, and nothing feels too much. She holds the space beautifully and I feel safe to share whatever I need to, without reserve or fear of judgement. I feel like she is there with me on my journey of self-discovery''.
